The camera offers some excellent enhancements such as smooth grip, rotation mode (360 degrees) dial, real-time shooting with filters andLive preview. The speed and quality of focus is quite good. It has a good reckoning amongst professional photographers given that the predecessor T4i also had good features to showcase.

Pros:

  • Good Touch screen with Vari angle
  • Excellent still photographs
  • Improved burst mode photography

Cons:

  • No WiFi connectivity
  • Not the best design

Conclusion:

It is considered very good Canon DSLR camerafor still photography. The video capturing ability has improved but there are issues which needs improvement. The predecessor had a good reckoning among professionals.

The sensor of this camera provides good quality auto focus performance. It is quite fast and accurate in focus. It is slim in features, but is streamlined with it’s target market. It won the Editor’s choice award from Digital trends.

Cons

  • AF assist lamp missing
  • Wireless connectivity conflicts with movie mode
  • Not travel friendly – designed on the heavier side
